The Supreme court on India has given a day to the centre and governments in Delhi to curb the increasing air pollution. Chief Justice of India said that the court would pass orders on Friday if the government didn't plan to handle the pollution. Delhi's Air Quality Index remained as high as 446 at 1 pm on Thursday.

Road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari reported a revenue loss of INR 2731.32 crore for the National Highways Authority of India due to the farmers' protests in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan since October 2020. "Overall 60 to 65 NH toll plazas were affected due to farmer agitation resulting in loss of toll collection of Rs. 2,731 crore," the minister said.

Uber Technology Inc. and Meta Platforms Inc.'s WhatsApp have launched their first collaboration in the country where the users can book a ride via the messenger. It will allow the users to access the Uber services by sending a message to a chatbot on WhatsApp. The service will extend to other locations in the future after serving Lucknow as the first city.

Customers may have to pay extra if they surpass the free ATM transaction limit beginning next month. In June, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) authorised banks to charge cash and non-cash ATM transactions fees over the free monthly allowable limit beginning January 1, 2022.

Researchers from ThreatFabric reported a total of 12 malicious Android apps in the Google Play Store that are stealing people's bank account details. The apps include QR Scanner, QR Scanner 2021, PDF Document Scanner Free, PDF Document Scanner, Two Factor Authenticator, Protection Guard, QR CreatorScanner, Master Scanner Live, CryptoTracker, and Gym and Fitness Trainer.

Indian army gets Heron drones from Israel to monitor Chinese activities

After a long due, the Indian army received Israel's advanced Heron drones, which will be equipped in the Ladakh sector to watch Chinese movements. The drones are procured under the emergency powers given by prime minister Narendra Modi. It allows them to buy weapons worth INR 500 crore to improve their combat capabilities amid the ongoing border issues with China.

Minister of state for civil aviation VK Singh said that the Airport Authority of India is working towards the country's first-ever facial recognition technology, which will promote paperless and hassle-free air travel. The technology will have a biometric-based boarding system for passenger entry. Airports in Varanasi, Pune, Kolkata and Vijayawada will be the first to get this.
