"If over 45 countries use Pegasus, why target just India?" says BJP
Former IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad today questioned why only India is being "targeted" for the use of Pegasus when 45 nations, according to the Israeli spyware maker NSO, are using it. The government has been under pressure since the first explosive revelations on a list of prospective targets by the web news portal The Wire.

Blue Origin all set to soar into space on Tuesday
Blue Origin, the company founded by American businessman Jeff Bezos, is all set for a space mission on Tuesday. The passengers include Bezos, his brother, an 82-year-old aviation pioneer and a teenage tourist.
Ahead of the ambitious mission, Bezos appeared on CBS’ 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' where he told fellow travellers to "sit back, relax, look out of the window, just absorb the view outside".

Cadbury says there is no beef in Indian products
After a Twitter post claiming gelatin derived from beef in Cadbury’s chocolates went viral on social media, the company clarified that all its products made and sold in India are 100% vegetarian. The screenshot which the user had attached to support claims of beef in Cadbury's chocolates was reportedly from Cadbury’s Australia website.

Rupee hits three-month low
The rupee dropped to its lowest level in three months on Monday, in line with other Asian currencies, as the rapid spread of the Delta variant of coronavirus threatened to derail the economic recovery. The partially convertible rupee ended at 74.87/88 per dollar, compared with its close of 74.56 on Friday. The currency fell 0.4% on the day, its biggest single-day fall since June 17.
The BSE Sensex was trading 1293.89 points down at 48735.94 on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters. In the Nifty pack, 5 stocks were in the green, while 45 stocks were in the red.

Heavy rains continue in Mumbai; IMD issues red alert for city
Mumbai and several parts of Maharashtra continue to be battered by incessant rains which has disrupted normal life. Waterlogging has been reported in several areas of Mumbai and its suburbs including Bhandup, Chembur, Andheri. Incidents of landslides, house collapses and electrocutions have also been seen in the city and surrounding areas.

Yoga training included in govt's flagship programme 'Study in India': Pradhan
"Study in India" is a flagship project of the Government of India, launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs and the Medical Council of India in April 2018.
"The government has included Yoga training in the 'Study in India' programme to encourage Yoga seekers from abroad to obtain authentic Yoga training in India," Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said.

Rajasthan EV policy 2021: Subsidies of up to ₹20,000 on EVs
As per the state policy, electric vehicles sold between April 1,2021, to March 31, 2022, will be eligible for SGST reimbursement. One-time incentives for e-two-wheelers:
Battery capacity upto 2 kWh: INR 5,000
Battery capacity upto 2-4 kWh: INR 7,000
Battery capacity upto 4-5 kWh: INR 9,000
Battery capacity more than 5 kWh: INR 10,000

IMD predicts heavy rains across north, west regions
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted widespread rainfall over the next two days along the western coast with isolated heavy rainfall in the Konkan region, Goa, Ghat areas and central Maharashtra. The present spell of heavy to very heavy downpour will also continue till July 20 over the western Himalayan region and adjoining northwest India, comprising Punjab, Haryana, east Rajasthan, western Uttar Pradesh and northwest Madhya Pradesh.
