Bezos offers NASA $2bn in for moon mission contract
Jeff Bezos has offered Nasa $2bn – if the US space agency reverses course and chooses his company, Blue Origin, to make a spacecraft designed to land astronauts back on the moon. Bezos said Blue Origin would waive payments in the government’s current fiscal year and the next after that up to $2bn, and pay for an orbital mission to vet its technology.

Harappan-era city, Dholavira declared UNESCO’s World Heritage Site
Dholavira in Gujarat has been added to Unesco's World Heritage List. Earlier, Rudreswara Temple in Telangana was added to the World Heritage List. The decision was taken at the ongoing 44th session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO held online and chaired from China on Tuesday.

Typhoon In-fa makes landfall in China after record flooding
The storm hit as central China is still reeling from record flooding that killed at least 58, cut off power and forced the relocation of more than 1 million people. Puri to be the first Indian city to have safe drinking tap water throughout the city
In a push for safe drinking water, Naveen Patnaik-led Odisha government has declared Puri as the first city in the country to have city-wide safe drinking tap water. The state government is also working on rolling out safe drinking tap water supplies in 16 more towns including Cuttack, Rourkela and Berhampur, with the move benefitting around 4 million people.

Pornography case: Raj Kundra sent to 14-day custody
The Mumbai police crime branch had arrested Kundra on July 19 along with 11 other people on charges related to the alleged creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some mobile applications. The crime branch earlier told the court that Kundra had plans to sell 119 adult films to a person for $1.2 million.
