Novavax's Covid vaccine shows 90% efficacy
US-based Novavax, on Monday, said that its nano-particle protein based Covid-19 vaccine candidate has demonstrated an overall 90.4% efficacy in Phase 3 clinical trials. In India, its partner Serum Institute of India (SII) has started manufacturing the vaccine by the name of Covovax already. India will allow entry of this vaccine here once the US FDA approves it.

Delhi reports less than 150 cases and Dharavi reports 0 cases in the past 24 hours
The daily case count of Covid-19 cases in Delhi fell further to 131 on Monday. According to state government data, there were 16 related fatalities and 355 recoveries in the last 24 hours.
Dharavi, the slum colony in Mumbai, on Monday, reported no Covid-19 cases and had previously reported zero Covid-19 cases on February 2 this year.

Reports of foreign funds frozen "blatantly erroneous”: Adani Group
Adani Group has clarified that the report about National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) freezing three accounts which had invested in four listed firms of the conglomerate was “blatantly erroneous”. The clarification came after The Economic Times reported that the NSDL had frozen three FPI accounts that hold shares to the tune of 43,500 crore INR in the Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL), Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL), Adani Transmission Limited (ATL) and Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL). While shares recovered to some extent by the end of the trading session, all the group’s companies closed weaker.

Winning bidder paid 28 million USD for ticket to space with Jeff Bezos
An auction winner paid more than 28 million USD for an 11-minute ride into space alongside Jeff Bezos on a reusable rocket launched by his space company, Blue Origin. Nearly 7,600 people from 159 countries registered to bid on the flight aboard the New Shepard — its first with passengers — which is expected to launch on July 20 from West Texas. In addition to the winning bidder, who was not identified, and Bezos, passengers will include Bezos’ brother, Mark Bezos, and a fourth still-unnamed astronaut. The auction winner’s name will be released in roughly two weeks, according to a video on Blue Origin’s website.

Southwest monsoon to arrive in northwest India by tomorrow
The southwest monsoon is set to arrive in Delhi and will cover most parts of northwest India by Tuesday, almost a fortnight ahead of schedule, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday. The monsoon this year is arriving a bit early due to the low-pressure system building over the Bay of Bengal. Usually, it arrives in Delhi around the last week of June.

Telangana CM gifts luxury cars to 32 additional collectors, invites criticism
