One crore doses of Zydus Cadila's vaccine are to be bought by the Indian government
Zydus Cadila's needle-free, three-dose COVID-19 vaccine against coronavirus disease for those aged 12 and above is included in the national anti-coronavirus inoculation programme this month, with the Centre placing a purchase order with the Ahmedabad-based firm for one crore doses, official sources said on Sunday.

India's air is still toxic despite crores spent under NCAP
The National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) was launched in 2019 to tackle the increasing toxicity of India's air. India's government had cleared INR 515 crore under the NCAP, and INR 4,400 crore was released on finance panel recommendation in 2020-2021 to tackle air pollution. New Zealand legalizes "Assisted dying" after End of Life Act comes into force
The End of Life Choice Act, a law that allows terminally ill patients to request doctors to end their lives legally, has come to force in New Zealand from November 7. According to the new law, "assisted dying", or euthanasia, is meant for terminally ill people with 6 months life expectancy, in an "advanced state of irreversible decline in physical capability".
