India's GDP grew by 8.4% in Q2 of 2021-22
Data from the ministry of statistics and programme implementation reported that India's GDP grew by 8.4% in the second quarter of 2021-22, compared to a 7.4% growth a year ago for the same period. GDP at constant (2011-12) prices in Q2 2021-22 is estimated at Rs. 35.73 lakh crore, as against Rs. 32.97 lakh crore in Q2 2020-21. It marks India's fourth consecutive quarter of growth.

Slice becomes India's newest unicorn
Fintech platform Slice declared that they had become the country's newest unicorn. They raised over USD 220 million in a Series B round of funding by Tiger Global and Insight Partners, which has helped the company achieve unicorn status. Indians are now more prone to diabetes and obesity: NFHS
The fifth national family health survey for 2019-2021 revealed that Indians have become more obese and prone to diabetes and hypertension due to the pandemic. The surveyed population was 8,25,954, out of which 15% of men and 13% of women had extreme blood sugar levels, and a fourth of men and women were overweight.Â

Around 1700 Kashmiri migrants return to J&KÂ
As per the govt of JK, the lands of 150 Hindu applicants have been restored. After article 370 was scrapped, 1678 migrants have returned to take up jobs under the PM's development package. No decision on nationwide NRC yet: Govt in Lok Sabha
The government informed the Lok Sabha that it had not decided yet to prepare a nationwide National Register of Citizens (NRC). Union minister of state for home affairs, Nityanand Rai also said that The Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 (CAA) was notified on December 12, 2019, came into force on January 10, 2020, and those covered under the CAA may apply for citizenship after the rules are notified.

Yamuna expressway to become India's first electric highway
Last year after a trial run of the e-highway on the Yamuna Expressway between Delhi and Agra focused on the charging infrastructure on the expressway and roadside assistance services, the government plans to open the electric corridor for the public by December 25, making the Yamuna Expressway country's first green corridor.Â
