Indian Railways to resume regular train services
The Indian Railways announced that it would resume regular train services with pre-COVID fares after the pandemic disrupted operations for nearly 20 months. Railway services were resumed from May 2020 onwards as 'special trains', for which ticket prices were higher than regular trains.

Delhi's AQI worsens, pollution board issues warning
The nation's capital, Delhi, has been plagued with dangerous levels of smog, which reduced visibility and is causing health issues amongst its residents. The 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 471 by 4 pm on November 12. The Centre's pollution control board ordered local bodies to be in "complete readiness" for emergency measures to tackle the worsening smog conditions.

INR 2 lakh for every protester arrested in Delhi tractor rally: Punjab
Reiterating his government's stand to support the ongoing farmers' protest against three black farm laws, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi announced that 83 people arrested in Delhi after violence broke out during a farmers' tractor rally on Republic Day this January, would be given financial help of INR 2 Lakh.

Centre releases INR 8,453.93 crores as part of its health care grant
The Centre has released a health sector grant of INR 8,453.93 crores as per the recommendations of the Fifteenth Finance Commission. The Union Ministry of Finance said that rural and urban local bodies of 19 states would get the grant to "strengthen health systems and plug critical gaps in the health care system" at the primary health care level.

Delhi shuts schools, govt offices for a week due to air pollution
Arvind Kejriwal announced on Saturday that schools in the national capital will be closed for a week starting Monday. The decision was taken to ensure that children do not breathe polluted air. Construction activities have also been prohibited in Delhi from November 14 to 17. Delhi recorded its worst air quality index (AQI) level of this season on Friday with a 24-hour average of 471.

ISRO preparing to launch nanosatellite for Bhutan
As part of New Delhi's space diplomacy, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is preparing to launch a nanosatellite built by engineers from Bhutan with the help of Indian scientists. The nanosatellite for imaging purposes will be launched on the PSLV carrying Oceansat-3 as the main payload and India's first private Earth Imaging satellite developed by Bengaluru-based Pixxel.

Instagram reels add text to speech and voice effects features
Instagram announced that its reels are getting two new features offering content creators more options while creating Reels. Its new Text to Speech feature lets creators use an artificial voice to read any text they add instead of using their voice in the video, while Voice Effects will be used to modify the audio and voiceover in Instagram Reels.
