PM Modi, on Monday, launched the Indian Space Association (ISpA) to boost the space-related industry. He interacted with several industry players during the launch programme. "Echoing the prime minister's vision of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat', the ISpA will help in making India self-reliant, technologically advanced and a leading player in the space arena", Modi said in an official statement.

Talks related to India-China border collapse
On the Chinese side, India and China held the 13th round of Corps Commander talks on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Moldo. The talks ended in a stalemate, with both sides blaming the other side. The Army said in a statement that the Indian side made "constructive suggestions" for resolving the "remaining areas". Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's Akasa gets NoC from the Aviation Ministry
Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's Akasa Airlines has received the NoC from the Aviation Ministry. It will fly under the brand name Akasa Air and is expected to start operations in 2022. Details of the venture have not been formally disclosed yet, but Jhunjhunwala told Bloomberg that he plans to have a 40% stake in Akasa, and it’s expected to run with a fleet of 70 airplanes within 4 years.

J&K: 5 army personnel killed in an encounter with terrorists

Amit Shah meets ministers amid coal shortage concerns
Home Minister, Amit Shah, on Monday, chaired a meeting with Power Minister RK Singh, Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi and other senior officials to discuss the coal situation in the country amid growing concerns of shortage. According to reports, over half of India's 135 coal-fired power plants, which in total, supply around 70% of electricity, have fuel stocks of less than 3 days. However, the coal ministry has assured that sufficient dry fuel is available to compensate for the shortage.
