JioPhone Next to Launch by Diwali
Google CEO, Sundar Pichai, confirmed that the JioPhone Next smartphone would launch in India by Diwali. The smartphone has been co-developed by Reliance and runs on Pragati OS. He said that the feature-rich JioPhone Next is seen as a foundation for digital transformation in India and will create an impact over the next 3-5 years due to its aggressive pricing.

Jeff Bezos to launch space park
Blue Origin, the space tourism company owned by Amazon-founder Jeff Bezos, has announced its plans to launch a 32,000 sqft. commercial space station named ‘Orbital Reef’, by 2030. The company claims that the station will be a ‘mixed-use business park’ in space to host 10 people.

9 convicted for 2013 blasts at Narendra Modi rally in Patna
On Wednesday, a special court convicted 9 of the 10 accused in the 2013 Patna serial blasts case. In 2013, 7 bombs had gone off in a short period. The first blast happened at Patna railway station's platform 10, and the rest in and around Gandhi Maidan, where Narendra Modi was scheduled to speak. The blasts killed 6 people and left 90 injured.

Paytm to open sale on November 8, 2021
Subscription for Initial Public Offering (IPO) of One97 Communications Ltd., which runs the Paytm payments service, will open on November 8, 2021 and close on November 10, 2021. The firm has increased its offering from INR 16,600 Crores to INR 18,300 Crores, comprising a new issue of INR 8,300 Crores and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of up to INR 10,000 Crores.

700 villages to be mapped by drones in Assam
The Assam Government has initiated a new project in which 700 villages of the state will be mapped with the help of drones. 700 out of the 22,724 villages in Assam are not mapped yet, which has led to many problems in executing government projects and purchasing land in those regions.

Facebook leaks: Govt works on report
The IT ministry is preparing a report on the key findings in the internal documents related to India, including alleged discrepancies in algorithmic recommendations that lead new users in the country to ‘misinformation and hate speech’. India opposes China's new border law
India strongly protested against the passing of a new 'Land Boundary Law' by China. The Ministry of External Affairs noted that it has "provisions to reorganise districts in the border areas", unacceptable to India. The MEA said that China should "avoid undertaking action under the pretext of this law which could unilaterally alter the situation in the India-China border areas".
