2 killed as World War-II era bomb explodes in Manipur
2 brothers were killed after a bomb, believed to be from World War II, exploded in Manipur's Moreh area along the Indo-Myanmar border, on Wednesday evening. According to a police official, they had just dug a pit to dump garbage in their backyard when they accidentally hit the bomb. 122 shells of unexploded World War II-era bombs were found in the Moreh area in November 2020.

Fuel prices continue to skyrocket in the country
After a hiatus of 23 days, fuel prices have started increasing again - with petrol prices increasing for the second time and diesel prices increasing for the third time this week. The cost of petrol in Delhi went up by 31 paise at INR 95.85 per litre, and diesel is available at INR 86.75 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol and diesel prices have climbed to INR 102.04 per litre and INR 94.15 per litre respectively.

Meesho raises USD 570 million ahead of Diwali
Social commerce platform, Meesho, raised USD 570 million in a round led by Fidelity Management & B Capital (owned by Facebook's co-founder). Its valuation grew two-fold - from USD 2.1 billion in April this year to USD 4.9 billion now. The company was founded by Vidit Aatrey and Sanjeev Barnwal in 2015 and is the biggest social commerce platform in India. It plans to use this capital to intensify its R&D and acquire more users.

SEBI scanning Ramdev for asking followers to invest in Ruchi Soya
Baba Ramdev is now caught in a regulatory issue over his attempt to make his followers invest in an edible oil firm - Ruchi Soya. Ruchi Soya has been asked to explain why the yoga guru violated regulatory norms by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). It came after a video clip of him went viral, urging his followers to invest in Ruchi Soya's stock during a yoga session.

India to take part in anti-terror exercise in Pakistan
India will likely send a 3-member team to participate in a Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Anti-terror Exercise in Pakistan, next week. It will be held under the SCOs Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) to promote counter-terrorism partnerships between SCO member-states. It doesn't involve troops and is meant to identify and contain channels that finance terrorist activities.

Sidhu will continue as Punjab Congress President: Aide
If an aide of Navjot Singh Sidhu is to be believed, he might remain as Punjab Congress chief and lead Congress in next year's election. "The issue will be resolved soon. Reliance plans to grab Subway for its QSR foray
Despite being present in the country for nearly 20 years, Subway doesn’t have as strong a presence as McDonald’s, Dominoes and KFC - the brands that dominate the Indian QSR market. Reliance Retail is eyeing Subway’s India franchise and it is speculated that the deal, estimated at USD 200-250 million, is almost finalized. YouTube blocks all anti-vaccine content
In a blog post, YouTube said that it would be banning all anti-vaccine-related content, which won't just include content related to COVID-19, but also content claiming that vaccines cause chronic illnesses, or that contains misinformation related to the vaccine. Youtube is also banning Robert F. Kennedy Jr. & Joseph Mercola - 2 prominent names in the anti-vaccine movement.
